Emerging & Emerged. 2016.

is comprised of collaborations between faculty and students across different disciplines within James Madison's studio art program. Though this exhibition was developed as a teaching tool for upper level students, giving them the opportunity to collaborate with established artists, it pushed faculty and students a like to think differently about their relationships and practices. The group of collaborations encourages us to consider the relationship between mentor and mentee, educator and educated, and the creative legacies of those interactions. These projects have pushed the boundaries of what collaboration can be in every direction.
